Clear skies and light winds will allow for the potential of a colder night than the previous few nights across the Rio Grande Valley and the rest of deep south Texas. Overnight low temperatures are expected to drop below freezing across all of the area with the coldest conditions found across the upper valley and the northern ranchlands. Exposure to the cold conditions overnight can be life threatening for people, pets and livestock. Additionally, exposed pipes and warm weather plants are also at risk. Stay warm, stay safe!
